About Us

Hi!  How are you?  Thank you so much for contacting me to help market your property and here it is, everything you have ever wanted to know about me.

My name is Kalen Raynor.  I became a licensed Real Estate Agent in 2000 while attending Long Island University in Southampton.  During school I began my real estate career and eventually got licensed as an Associate Broker in 2003.  I have lived in Hampton Bays my entire life, with the exception of two college years in South Carolina and I truly love it here. After returning to the Hampton’s I graduated Cum Laude from Long Island University in Southampton with a degree in Liberal Arts and Graphic Design Concentration, yet I continued selling real estate.  Hampton Bays, East Quogue, Quogue, Southampton, Westhampton, Westhampton Beach and Remsenburg is what I know, what I love and what I sell.  I found I really had a passion, a true calling if you will, for helping people find their dream homes.

I worked full time for twelve years at Quogue East Realty Co. Inc, in East Quogue, NY polishing my real estate knowledge starting from a real estate agent, to associate broker and eventually ending up as the office manager. I truly love my profession.  This career that I have chosen, although with many highs and lows with the real estate market, has given me the opportunity to help buyers, seller’s and renters find their dream homes or sell/rent and move on to brighter futures.  I am able to do this at the same time as being a mother and wife to my wonderful family.

In 2005 I married another local, Michael Raynor, owner of Michael Raynor Landscaping Inc.   Many of you reading this may have been at our wedding, as we still hear the stories of people who happened to be at Ponquogue Beach that September day and stumbled upon our wedding.  Oh how I wish we could relive that day!

Together we started a beautiful family and are the proud parents of two adorable little girls who at times many of my buyers and seller’s have met, my little Realtor’s in training.  Our daughter Kaya, age 12, is a beautiful seventh grader with a love for gymnastics, volleyball, acting, basketball, cheer leading and sports.  Our youngest daughter Carissa is an 8 year old third grader with a love for adventures, singing, art, gymnastics, dancing, swimming and smile that will melt your heart.

Our families are both local full time residents with deep roots in Hampton Bays.  My side of the family the Penny’s and the Dargan’s and my husband’s side of the family the Raynor’s and Frost’s, have been residents of the community since the early 1900’s.  In fact, you can learn more about the history of Hampton Bays, by watching the video Tide and Time, which is available for rent at the local library.  It was on that video that we saw photos of both of our ancestors who were part of the Hampton Bays Water Rescue Team which protected our waters for many years.

The ocean, the changing seasons, the community and the history this small town has is remarkable.  In fact, while thinking of names to name my company, I searched high and low for something that spoke to me.  I have always had a deep love for the beach, the Ponquogue Bridge and lighthouses.  One night while researching the area’s history I saw the history of the Shinnecock Lighthouse, located right before the bridge in Hampton Bays.  After reading article after article I learned that family relatives, John Raynor and Waldo Penny were among the lighthouse keepers.  I then found out that the lighthouse was situated on a piece of land named Ponquogue Point.  This entire area was named “Ponquogue” an Indian term for “Where the land and water meet”.  It was there that I came up with the idea for a lighthouse logo with the Ponquogue Bridge and the quote…  “Ponquogue Point Properties Inc….Let us guide you home”.

In 2012 I began as a director with the Long Island Board of Realtors Hamptons Chapter. I then became Vice President of the Chapter and in January 2017, I was elected President of the Hampton’s Chapter.  After serving as President for two years I applied to be considered for an executive officer position and was elected for 2020 as Vice President East End Liasion for the Long Island Board of Realtors.  As well as the chapter level, I also serve on many committees, as a Board  Director for the Long Island Board of Realtors, and as a director for the New York State Association of Realtors where I served as Vice Chair (2018) and Chair of Housing Opportunities for 2019.  For 2020 I currently serve on the following committees for the state:

    • 2020 Board of Directors

    • Young Professionals Network

    • Housing Opportunities Committee

    • Article 12A Working Group

    • Communications, Marketing & Technology Forum

    • Housing Opportunities Foundation

As you can see, Real Estate is my life!  I hope that someday I, along with my team of agents can get  a chance to guide you, a Home Buyer, Seller, Landlord or Tenant…home.

Just as I began my own real estate brokerage, I was luckily selected as one of 5 people out of 10,000 in the country who applied for an agent makeover in Chicago by Homefinder.com.  I can not express how thankful I am for this outstanding opportunity and all that I was taught during this time.  The people I met and the skills I learned were life changing.  Thank you again to the Homefinder.com crew, Mike Lindstrom and Amanda McMillan Dollinger.
